National HIV/AIDS Organizations

Canadian AIDS Treatment Information Exchange (CATIE) is Canada’s source for up-to-date, information about HIV and hepatitis C. They connect people living with HIV or hepatitis C, at-risk communities, healthcare providers and community organizations with the knowledge, resources and expertise to reduce transmission and improve quality of life.

Canadian Working Group on HIV and Rehabilatation (CWGHR)  is a national, charitable organization that responds to the rehabilitation needs of people living with HIV/AIDS. They bridge the traditionally separate worlds of HIV, disability and rehabilitation. Through research, education and cross-sector partnerships CWGHR works to improve the lives of people with HIV.

Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network promotes the human rights of people living with and vulnerable to HIV/AIDS, in Canada and internationally, through research and analysis, advocacy and litigation, public education and community mobilization. The Legal Network is Canada’s leading advocacy organization working on the legal and human rights issues raised by HIV/AIDS.

Canadian Treatment Action Council (CTAC) is Canada’s national civil society organization addressing access to treatment, care and support for people living with HIV. CTAC meaningfully engages community members, service providers, policymakers and researchers to identify, develop and implement policy and program solutions.

Canadian AIDS Society (CAS) is the national voice of people living with HIV/AIDS in Canada. Representing community-based AIDS organizations across the country, they strengthen the response to HIV/AIDS in Canada and enrich the lives of people and communities living with HIV/AIDS.
