Positive Plus One – Study Update

The Positive Plus One Study is now pilot testing the English version of the survey on-line and via telephone interviews.  Five people have already answered the survey questions; however, we would like to recruit another five people.  In particular, we still need to pilot test the questions for people who are not currently in a serodiscordant relationship, but were in one within the past two years. We would like to be able to complete the pilot testing this week.

So please, if any of you know of anyone who might meet the eligibility criteria (below) we would appreciate it if you could invite them to participate (note:  they can participate again in the study once we go live, thus earning 2 gift cards).

Where to send people to take the survey:

People can go to the study web site  to learn more about the pilot test and project, and then click on “Take the survey now!”

Web site:  www.PositivePlusOne.ca

Or you can email them the following link to enter directly to the survey (including consent), bypassing the study website:

Phone interviews:

If people have any questions, or prefer to participate in the study via telephone interview they can call me, Sandy, on our toll-free line 1-888-740-1166.

Gift Card:

Participants receive a $20 gift card to their choice of Tim Hortons, Walmart, Subway, or Canadian Tire for their participation.  The gift card can be mailed directly to the participant or “in care of”  you at your organization, if you want to give them that option.  The survey seems to be taking people about 30 minutes to complete.

More information:

I have attached a brief study description and a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document if you would like to be able to tell potential participants about the study and answer their questions directly.  You can feel free to pass these documents on to
